Cambridge-Oxford Owners Club Drive it Day Run

Cars gathered at the end of the 2011 Cambridge-Oxford Owners Club "Drive it Day"

Starting from Malton Market Place The run will leave at 10.30 am and travel along the B1257 to Hovingham.

It then takes the pretty back roads via Yearsley and Ampleforth, passing Byland Abbey and travelling through Coxwold and Kilburn and the White Horse and then along the A170 to Helmsley for our Lunch Break.

It then takes the pretty back roads via Rievaulx Abbey and Hawnby before crossing over the moorland and down in to Osmotherley.

A short break is planned here before traveling on via the often forgotten but very pretty villages of Silton, Kepwick, Cowesby, Kirby Knowle and Upsall Castle, before finally arriving at Thirsk for the end of the run around 3pm.

It is located to the north of the River Derwent which forms the historic boundary between the North and East Ridings of Yorkshire.

Malton Market is at the heart of the local community, providing a range of shopping products to both regular and casual visitors.
