The Flying Scotsman Vintage Rally

Cars will depart from Brooklands on 27th March, 2009, and drive through the Chilterns, the Cotswolds, the Derbyshire Peak District, the Yorkshire Moors, and into the Scottish Borders.

A scenic route up the spine of rural England and into remote Scottish moors will make for a challenging drive in a pre-war car.

The event will be run in three legs, with overnight stops in the shadow of Warwick Castle, and then on to the Yorkshire Moors and Agatha Christie's favourite hotel at Harrogate.

Cars must be: Pre-1941 model types. Cars of a proven pre-war design, such as HRG and MG TC, will be accepted at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

A class for Veteran cars is planned, whith its own separate time-schedule and awards.
