NECPWA
The North East Club for Pre-War Austins
The North of England's largest "Vintage" Motoring Club was formed in 1966 by owners of Pre-War Austin Cars. The initials of the name NECPWA were so widely used, that when The Club began to accept other makes the name was retained by popular request, although informally we are now affectionately known as the Nearly Everywhere Club for Pretty Well Anything!
We now have Members who own different makes of vehicle, and membership is open to any enthusiast of old motor vehicles. It is not necessary to be a vehicle owner to join the club, but attendance at Club organised rallies is generally restricted to vehicles over 18 years of age.
We are a non-profit making society with Honorary Officials. We are a member of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs which was formed in 1961 to represent the interests of the "Older Vehicle Movement" in the United Kingdom to Government Departments and the EEC on legal, technical, and general matters.
