Trades and Transports of the 50s
This is 'living history' event where you can see and speak to all the tradespeople as they go about their jobs in the 1950's.
Meet everyone from the station master, porter, clerk, signalman on the station to the coalman, milkman, housewife, shopkeepers and bank clerk to name but a few.
In addition there will also be an exhibition of all the transport of the time, trains, buses, cars, vans, lorries and motorbikes plus the humble pushbike!
A veritable feast of an event for all ages.

Location description
The East Anglian Railway Museum, based just outside Colchester, Essex, is a Working Museum dedicated to preserving the history of railways in the Eastern Counties.
Open every day between 10am and 4:30pm (or Dusk if earlier), on certain days special events take place, where you can have unlimited rides on the Museum's preserved Steam and Diesel Trains.
We also hold regular Day Out With Thomas Events, also the popular Chappel Beer and Cider Festivals.
